005 – Rain, I Don’t Mind

It rained today.

I love the way the rain beads up into little balls on plants like this after the rain.

The rain stopped and the sun began to shine this afternoon just as I needed to get up to NE Alberta and 17th for my acupuncture and massage appointments.  With a little time before my first appointment I walked around looking for interesting ways to capture this day when this rain drop covered plant jumped out at me.  The perfectly smooth little balls of reflection are so interesting to look at and sometimes the way they reflect their surroundings can be magical.  I wouldn’t say this reflection is magic, but it’s still pretty.

After my appointment, the darkness came, so this will have to do.  Some days are like that.  Some days it rains and shines.  Some days you get a massage and everything is alright.

“Rain, I don’t mind
Shine, the weather’s fine
Can you hear me
That when it rains and shines
It’s just a state of mind
Can you hear me
Can you hear me”
– The Beatles

  1. A beautiful reflection. Your snap captures the rain drops perfectly. Jackie noticed today that our squirrels were licking the dew off the tree branches to quench their thirst. Rain can be a gift.
