065 – Painting Time

Inside Amsterdam’s Schiphol airport, is a giant clock with a projection of a painter painting and repainting the hands on the clock every minute in what appears to be a  torturous cycle of endless work.

It’s strangely fascinating and quite mesmerizing to watch him paint a line and remove it and repaint it slightly skewed.

I didn’t stay around and watch long as I had a train to catch to Breda before driving a few more minutes to Zundert, where we are staying a few doors down from another painter, Vincent Van Gogh’s, childhood home.

  1. The clock display is really creative! And self promotes that projection with the animated artist image. It’s very intriguing nevertheless.
