066 – Vincent Van Gogh Huis

Today was a slow day of timezone adjustment, or maladjustment, as the case may be. That means I slept … A lot.

I did manage to sneak out while it was still light out and, with a little rain rapidly approaching, snap this shot of the famous Vincent Van Gogh house.  This is where little Vincent was born and grew up.

The rain came and got me just after I got the shot and it made for a slightly wet walk, nay run, back to our BnB.   Luckily, it’s not far.

I did manage to make it back out, briefly, between work sessions for a delicious little meal at a local restaurant.  I’m very grateful to Phillip for helping me navigate the menu and his hospitality despite my serious Dutch language deficiency.  Where deficiency means practically none.  Goedmorgen, koffie and dank je only get you so far in the Netherlands, especially at night and at dinner.
