315 – Falling Leaves Fail – part 2

I went outside for a quick photo walk in the brisk autumn wind while the sun was preparing to set.

The light and the sun were too low by this time and the winds did not blow consistently so, I never did catch a good shot of anything falling.

It occurred to me, after I snapped a few final shots of the trees still adorned with some color and while the remaining light faded through their branches, how ironic that nature photography really is all about catching an instant in time at just the right location and during just the right conditions and that waiting for the moment to come can take a really long time.

Today, the moment didn’t come for me in time and I have just the mediocre photo to prove it.
